Common SEL & Climate Survey
Questions Answered:
Students answer survey questions aligned to to five social emotional learning competency as defined by the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL):
- Self-Awareness
- Self-Management
- Social Awareness
- Relationship Skills
- Responsible Decision-Making
Students also give feedback on four key measures of school climate:
- Equity
- Belonging
- Support
- Safety
Students complete quick, 6-item Student SEL & Climate surveys each month in the Student Portal on the Kickboard mobile app or on the web.
Student SEL & Climate Survey results are reported real-time in Kickboard’s analysis tools and can be viewed by teachers, school counselors and administrators. Survey data can be filtered by grade level, SEL competency or climate category, or time period. Indicators show the percentage increase or decrease in positive SEL and climate areas since the prior survey administration.
Yes. All student survey data is anonymous and confidential. We do not store any identifying student information in conjunction with survey responses. Survey data is reported only by grade, school or district, and date submitted.
No, there is no added cost. Student SEL & Climate Surveys are included with the Kickboard Platform.
Our Student SEL & Climate Surveys provide real-time student feedback on a monthly basis. Other surveys are administered only once or twice a year and it can take several weeks to access results. In addition, Kickboard offers the only solution that combines daily behavior recording and student survey data on a single platform.
